Thanks for my freedom

I had a really good conversation with one of my students today so I thought I would share. He is a veteren and a young one too. He served our country in Iraq. He has lost vision in one of his eyes due the the suicide car driver that crashed into his tank. As he states, " He would do it all over again so he could serve America in this fight against terrorism." We talked about so much that it is way too much to write but it was uplifting but sad at the same time.

He is a very positive person........ he lost his eye sight in one eye and he is still positive..... More people need to take note!!! You would never know he did not have sight in his eye unless he did not have to go to the doctor for his annual appt. He does not use it for a crutch.... I totally respect him for this.....
As civilians, we do not know what our troops go through..... Americans are so spoiled and grip about the stupidest things....... Go over to Iraq and serve and people might rethink their attitude toward the small stuff......

I guess him and I were on the same page... Every time someone complains about the war it is a slap in the face to the soldiers and their families who are sacrificing their lives for us..... YOU and ME!!!! Think critically, the news only reports the bad not the good.. The good out weighs the bad..... He talked about all the wonderful things he witnessed when he was over there......Too many Amercians think we are only over there for OIL...OMG get over this that is not the only reason why... Talk to a serviceman....Learn the real story...............
Okay I know I am super passionate about this...........

THANK YOU BEN and all the other men and women who serve our country......God Bless You and your Families!!!!!!!
